The Area

The Victoria Road land release area was the start of a transformation for the area, from a rural community that was a remnant pocket of days gone by, to one surrounded by modern residential estates and a thriving light industrial trading zone.

The Property

The 20,000m2 site was originally purchased with the intent of the industrial zoning being extended over a relatively short period of time. However it soon became apparent to Council and stakeholders that with the increased demand for residential land, the entire West Victoria Road precinct would be rezoned as ‘residential’.

When services were eventually made available to the area Capital Corporation formed a joint venture with the site’s adjoining property’s owner to undertake the subdivision of the 40,000m2 site. This subdivision was successfully carried out resulting in separate residential lots, which were sold in blocks ranging from 450m2 to 710m2.
