The Area
Wetherill Park combines with Smithfield to provide a diversified industrial precinct ranging from bulk goods retailing, through light industrial to General Heavy Industrial Users. There are many larger groups including BOC Gases, Subaru, and Amcor etc.
The Property
The project was developed to service their needs of the businesses and their employees in the industrial area. The building included a Tavern, large Italian restaurant, and office premises including Skilled Engineering. Services were provided to double the size of the complex in ‘Stage 2’ of the development
To facilitate future expansion and alterations to the layout of the Tavern and restaurant kitchen, a service corridor was constructed below the ground floor slab. This proved very valuable as the growth in patronage was substantial and licensing was expanding to cater for the increased custom.
Capital held the development 11 years and sold the complex with a revised Development Approval for a much larger ‘Stage 2’ development.
